Amazon Buy with Prime and Multi-Channel Fulfillment organizations is looking for a motivated and experienced security architect ready to partner across Amazon tech and security orgs to secure our services and data. As the right candidate, you will possess technical skills in software architecture, information security, tooling and automation, software deployment and cloud computing. You should also be able to think strategically and tactically about business, product, and technical challenges. You are an influencer by nature, will be seen as someone that our software engineers, security and compliance teams are eager to engage with, and have a hands-on approach with a bias for action. The ideal candidate has the ability to learn new concepts and technologies, is able to communicate effectively with a diverse set of customers or partners across multiple disciplines, and is able to work effectively across internal and external organizations and remote teams. You will act as a key member of the team responsible for enabling security as a business enabler, by creating practical and scalable security solutions, enabling security by design, embedding security into Amazon dev-teams's day to day work, and raising security awareness through trainings and mentoring. You will earn trust to establish credibility and maintain strong working relationships with all peers and stakeholders (Security, Engineering, Legal, Business Development, Internal Audit, etc.). The ability to build repeatable artifacts, and assess deliverables as a force multiplier is a critical skill for this role. You should have a demonstrated ability to think about business challenges and articulate technical solutions to solve those problems. As part of the solution architect community you will capture and share best practices with your peers, generate internal and external technical content, and participate in evangelist and workshop activities to grow the community. We operate in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly, so a passion and discipline around security and delivery is critical. You will tackle challenging situations every day and, given the size of this initiative, you will collaborate with various levels across Buy with Prime, Multi-Channel Fulfillment, AWS and other Amazon orgs. Key job responsibilities # Develop paved-road security solutions that are scalable to entire org to meet security requirements and best practice, including design, implementation, testing, deployment and adoption # Work with information security and other teams within Amazon to align security implementation with the broader enterprise standards and initiatives # Develop technical content, such as reference architectures, training material to foster a security culture and assist in deploying secure and compliant solutions # Develop broad domain and technical knowledge in AWS and Amazon corporate security solutions including the operational processes and controls in place that support compliance programs # Support internal compliance assessments, remediation and continuous security improvements to the organization A day in the life A Security Solutions Architect on our team will often find themselves: # Designing and Developing security solutions # Driving adoption of security tooling and security best practices # Driving and assisting with projects to improve our team and our business # Mentoring peers and raising security awareness About the team Buy with Prime is helping people reimagine the way they shop. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
