Pay Range: 25.61 - 31.13

Job Summary:

The Red Road House serves sober-living women who are survivors of domestic violence/sexual assault. The position provides supervision and support to residents as they work towards healing from trauma, gaining stability and entering community living through a shared goal of sobriety facilitated through traditional Indigenous methodologies. The Red Road House Manager will work closely with the CSC DV/SA Case Manager and provide summary reports and progress reports of residents to the CSC GBV Program Manager. The Red Road House Manager position will LIVE IN THE HOME with the women/residents. This is a grant funded position that provides FREE ROOM as well as a contracted wage averaging no more than 40hrs a week. This is a Live-in position including overnight shifts and on call as needed.

Most positions at CSC are exposed to members of the community who have experienced or are

experiencing trauma in various forms including but not limited to: domestic violence, sexual

violence, homelessness, unemployment, financial hardship, etc. As a result, staff are at risk of

secondary trauma. Employees are encouraged to seek external support and maintain self-care

when working indirectly or directly with clients. Mental health care referrals for employees is

available 

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Provides supervision and support for program participants as a part of transitional living home.
  2. Document resident’s activity, progress, and needs through weekly progress reports provided for the CSC GBV Program Manager.
  3. Lead weekly house meetings to monitor the needs and concerns of residents.
  4. Responsible for upkeep of facility, including assignment of house duties and monitoring residents’ activities.
  5. Orients residents to facility rules and addresses resident’s non-compliance as necessary to create a safe and secure environment for other residents.
  6. Participates in CSC staff meetings to obtain information, provide information, and assist with service planning.
  7. Exhibit good verbal/written communication skills

  1. Remains knowledgeable of support group services that provide support services for persons with substance abuse problems and their families.
  2. Develops supportive relationships with residents.
  3. Always displays a courteous and caring attitude to the residents, volunteers, and visitors of the Red Road House.
  4. Cooperates and collaborates with CSC GBV Program Manager as well as program area staff, volunteers, and other CSC staff.
  5. Dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
  6. Abides by all specific program and house procedures, policies, and requirements.
  7. Develops personal and program related skills through participation in internal and external training opportunities.
  8. Support resident safety by responding appropriately to emergencies, reporting hazards or incidents promptly, and modeling safe practices in alignment with agency policies and trauma-informed care principles. Completion of all safety-related trainings. May be asked to participate in safety meetings.
  9. Perform other duties as situation requires or as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Education: High School Diploma

Experience: 6 months of Human Service Experience or other relevant service work experience.

Licenses/Certifications: White Bison Wellbriety Certification

Technical Skills & Competencies:

  • Working knowledge of issues relevant to GBV and DV/SA as it relates to Native/Indigenous survivors.
  • Physical assessment and intervention skills, including basic first aid training and CPR training.

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively with residents/members with complex trauma in a consistent and trauma-informed way.
  • Excellent judgment regarding client-related issues, including confidentiality and emergency crisis situations.
  • Must have a strong understanding of historical and intergenerational trauma among Indigenous communities.
  • Cultural sensitivity with the ability to work effectively with clients from diverse populations.
  • Ability to work well under stress.
  • Ability to work well with coworkers and the public.
  • Obtaining knowledge, skills, and abilities relevant to DV/SA/Wellbriety.
  • Desire to help survivors of DV/SA transition into the community and achieve stability.

Preferred Qualifications:

Identify as a survivor of DV/SA; lived experience/proximity to the cycles of gender-based violence.

Driver’s License strongly preferred

Physical Requirements:

This position does include lifting, stretching, bending, or twisting up to 60 pounds. Continuous

standing, walking, and sitting for extended period of time. Frequently uses hands and wrists,

fingers, handling, grasping and reaching. Using telephones, computers, fax machines and

other office equipment and supplies
