The Role We are seeking a Principal Node/NestJS Developer to architect, lead, and deliver highly scalable and high-performance backend systems using Node.js and NestJS. This role involves designing complex APIs, defining sophisticated data models, and ensuring seamless integration with frontend applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering modular, maintainable, and innovative solutions aligned with our business goals. Responsibilities Lead the development of scalable backend systems and APIs from scratch using Node.js and NestJS. Define and implement technical strategy and architecture decisions for performance and scalability. Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering technical growth. Collaborate with product, UX/UI, and frontend teams to define requirements and integration strategies. Ensure detailed and precise data models and endpoints tailored to complex user experiences. Champion best practices for backend engineering, including testing, CI/CD, and performance optimization. Proactively resolve technical challenges and drive continuous innovation. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 10+ years of experience developing enterprise-grade APIs with Node.js and NestJS. Deep proficiency with advanced TypeScript features. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, system design, and architectural patterns. Experience with large-scale NX monorepos and complex project structures. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with frontend teams for seamless integration. Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities. Track record of owning solutions end-to-end and driving results.
