MSW Launching Systems Business Development Senior Manager


Description: Responsible for RMS / IWSS / MSW Launching Systems (LS) Business Development
Act as our external customers advocate for Lockheed Martin
Organize and implement LS strategy that advances LMs approach to the market space.
Engage across Army, Navy, Marine Corps and International customers to cultivate relationships and develop LS new business opportunities.
Build and maintain trusting and productive relationships with customers, influencers and key opinion leaders
Have a deep knowledge of customer desires, and shape associated requirements toward Lockheed Martin solutions
Curate a pipeline of new business opportunities, to include qualification, pursuit and re-assessment on an ongoing basis to meet Long Range Plan objectives of the Business
Manage Win Plan, New Business Funds, and Capture Team support for business development responsibilities
Collaborate across RMS and the Business Areas within LM to develop appropriate strategy, orders and investment plans and translate them to actionable initiatives.
Interface regularly across the LM enterprise to achieve business goals including but not limited to other RMS Lines of Business, other LM Business Areas, LM Government Affairs (LMGA), and the Corporate Engineering and Technology Office (CETO).
Lead a geographically diverse team to grow the business.
Basic Qualifications:
15 years work experience with DOD programs
Experience with capturing new business
Experience or familiarity with Navy, Marine Corps and Army Platform Markets and CONOPS
Holds Secret clearance or higher
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work flexible hours and conduct domestic and international travel
Demonstrated ability to Lead a team
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Team player
Self-starter with entrepreneurial attitude
Understanding of LM capture process and risk based assessment
Desired Skills:
Familiarity and experience with the MK 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS), U.S. Armys Mid-Range Capability (MRC) and U.S. Marine Corps Long Range Fires (LRF)
Ability to interface with Flag/General Officers and 06 Level of the customer community (U.S. and International)
Ability to lead the generation of presentations and marketing campaigns
Demonstrated experience working with Executives and supporting related launcher initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
Experience with Government Affairs and Legislative Briefings
Experience with large complex captures
Experience with the development of business capture strategies
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $151,200 - $266,570. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidates final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
