About this role

  • Conduct literature reviews and assist in data synthesis to support content development.
  • Develop and execute a publication strategy that includes both traditional and web-based formats.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align on messaging and strategic communications.
  • Ensure all content complies with ethical, regulatory, and scientific standards.
  • Create supporting materials such as abstracts, slide decks, and summaries for funders and partners.

What You’ll Bring

  • Advanced degree in biomedical sciences, public health, epidemiology, or a related field (PhD, MD, MPH, or MS preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience in medical writing or scientific publishing, with a strong portfolio of peer-reviewed work.
  • Expertise in translating complex research findings into clear, impactful content.
  • Deep understanding of academic publishing processes and journal submission standards.
  • Familiarity with ethical guidelines and compliance frameworks (e.g., ICMJE, GPP).
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently.
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams and engaging with researchers and partners.
  • Bonus: Experience with modern science communication formats like blogs, web content, or short-form updates.

What we offer you

  • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience and aligned with industry standards for medical writing and research communication roles
  • Comprehensive health insurance and standard employee benefits
  • Support for professional development, including conferences, workshops, and training opportunities
  • Preference for candidates based on a hybrid schedule in Dallas, TX or Raleigh/Durham, NC areas for in-person collaboration with leadership, but open to remote for the right candidate.
  • The opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization working with leading experts to shape the future of clinical research communication

Total Rewards

The salary estimated for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 + bonus + benefits. Compensation will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
