We are seeking a Licensed Doctor Of Physical Therapy or Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team! You will plan physical rehabilitative programs that improve strength, movement, and overall fitness of our patients regardless of diagnosis. We are serious about being the change in the rehabilitation world focusing on empowering our patients to take charge of their lives by moving more and getting stronger.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement physical therapy programs that focus on strength, injury prevention, and wellness
• Work directly with patients to achieve maximum physical recovery
• Evaluate effects of therapy treatment and communicate patients' progress
• Record and document patient care services according to insurance guidelines by end of business day
• Collaborate and supervise with other support personnel to achieve well-rounded care

Qualifications:

• Graduate from accredited physical therapy program, successful completion of NPTE, and license to practice in the State of Hawaii (or is able to be licensed prior to start date)
• Previous experience is preferred but NEW GRADS with a willingness to learn are welcome to apply
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Ability to build rapport with patients and effectively work as a TEAM with co-workers
• Strong ability to learn from other coworkers and share knowledge as well

Projected Start Date: BEFORE June 1, 2021 - Everyone starts as part-time until completion of 90-day probation.

Pakolea LLC is owned and operated by Shauna Russell, DPT, MBA who purchased Big Island Physical Therapy in November 2015. Pakolea LLC was started in 2009 as a mobile therapy company that transitioned into more clinic-based operation in 2011. Shauna has operated clinics on Maui as well as Molokai but needed to move to the Big Island so her son could attend Nawahiokalaniopuu (Hawaiian Immersion School) in Keaau, HI.

Our company is committed to providing comprehensive movement assessment to pinpoint weakness, imbalances, and impaired movement patterns to not only improve the patient's current pain but to address the "reason" their condition progressed by correcting abnormal movement patterns.

Our team is dedicated to making our patients and clients STRONG in whatever activities they wish to do from being able to walk independently to returning to a college sport or just increasing their overall fitness levels by using current evidence-based techniques to address impairments with long-term benefits.
