About the Role

The Wellington Solutions group is part of Wellington's Investment Platform, and is responsible for multi-factor, multi-asset, multi-manager and custom solutions research and portfolio management. The group provides bespoke research and advice across various topics such as fundamental factors, asset allocation, thematic investing and manager research, and manages over $25B of outcome oriented, factor, and Quantitative portfolios on behalf of clients. We are seeking to recruit an Investment Strategy Analyst (Analyst) to join the Portfolio Engineering team within Wellington Solutions. The Analyst will be primarily focused on helping the team manage multi-manager solutions and products by monitoring risk characteristics and positioning, communicating and executing portfolio allocation changes, contributing to the team's analytics capabilities, and maintaining book of business meta data. The role will entail operational risk management, investment risk management and portfolio construction concepts, and demonstrated interest in learning these concepts is important.

Qualifications

The successful candidate is likely to have:

  • 3-6 years of relevant professional experience within the asset management industry, and within a multi-asset, multi-manager team a plus;
  • Intellectual Curiosity: The ability to ask good questions, problem solve, think entrepreneurially, develop new tools and adapt to client challenges;
  • Fiduciary Mindset: Working responsibly and independently as part of a highly collaborative team focused on delivering best client outcomes. Engages in respectful debate and knows when to ask for help.
  • Learning Agility: Lifelong learner. Progress towards/willingness to complete CFA.
  • Passion for Technology, Risk and Portfolio Construction: Demonstrated ability to learn and use new technology and analyze data. Programming skills would be a plus as would knowledge of relevant systems e.g. Tableau, Spotfire, Axioma, Factset.
  • Highly organized: Proven ability to distil and synthesize information efficiently and to thrive in a multi-faceted, fast paced environment with multiple competing deadlines
  • Strong relationship builder and clear communicator, with a focus on attention to detail and clarity in communications

The base salary range for this position is: USD 65,000 - 150,000. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process. Base salary is only one component of Wellington's total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/or Incentives, if eligible.
