Works independently, performing all tasks related to the reprocessing and sterilization of surgical instruments. These tasks include maintenance, decontamination, prepping, sterilization and proper handling and storage. Required Skills * Clinical knowledge of sterile processing procedures and surgical instruments * Independent performer * Assertive * Good interpersonal skills * Team player * Detail oriented Required Experience * One (1) year of experience in acute health care * IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management) certification preferred * Previous experience in sterile processing preferred * Knowledge of surgical instruments and their use * Knowledge of supplies and equipment used during sterile processing.
