Import / Export Coordinator

Watchfinder & Co. | Fort Worth, TX

Role Overview

This exciting role will see you at the heart of our WFUS Logistics Hub, based in the Richemont North America office based in Dallas – Fort Worth. As a key member in the US logistics team, you will be responsible for the import & export flows of all watches transiting through the US market. Working closely with our other global boutiques & distribution centers you will also be responsible for inter-company transfers as well as other logistic task to support business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure movement of product in/out of the Hub is compliant in terms of US Customs criteria. 
  • Maintain transit and US Customs and Border Protection compliance with all imports and exports.
  • Assist with creation, publication, and maintenance of all customs manuals internally in line with the existing Richemont policies.
  • Liaising with US brokers (Fed Ex / Expeditors) to ensure all parties are provided with the relevant clearance instructions.
  • Perform regular internal audits for further compliance cooperation with US Customs and Border Protection.
  • Liaising with other Watchfinder international hubs logistics teams to ensure Customs/Trade compliance for the international movements of goods, throughout the Watchfinder supply chain.
  • Working closely with Richemont North America and Import/Export Internal Ctrl Supervisor to ensure US Customs compliance is met within the domestic market.
  • Maintain and liaise tracking for all shipments to and from all US locations.
  • Identify and proactively resolve any shipping delays or errors.
  • Assist with inventory control processes (e.g., daily/weekly/monthly counts and stock movements) to ensure a successful inventory.
  • Assist with parts procurement/management.
  • Assist with unpacking/packing of parcels as needed.

Qualifications

  • Able to follow processes and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Methodical approach to work
  • Microsoft office tools efficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc).
  • Able to communicate effectively over the phone, via email and face-to-face.
  • Familiar with Partner Government Agencies and US Customs clearances.
  • Languages: Proficient in English. French and/or Spanish a plus.
  • Minimum three years professional experience with brokerage, Impex. Operations, customs clerk, attorney or trade compliance offices.  Customs brokers license a plus.
  • May require some travel to review other Watchfinder hubs/operations.
