Field Service Engineer is\nresponsible for providing field technical services for Siemens Energy\ncombustion turbine-generators and associated auxiliary systems including\ncommissioning, fact finding, trouble shooting, combustion dynamics &\nemissions tuning, and periodic support of new unit installations.

  • As a Field Service Engineer, you will play\n a pivotal role in ensuring the flawless functioning of Siemens Energy's\n combustion turbine-generators and associated systems. Your contributions\n will primarily involve commissioning, fact-finding, fixing, combustion\n dynamics, and emissions tuning. Additionally, you will support new unit\n installations periodically.

  • You will provide outstanding metrology and\n alignment services using CAD and GD&T experience with portable CMM\n equipment and advanced scanning technologies. Your work will determine the\n precision and reliability of our turbine-generators.

  • You will apply modal and vibration\n analysis to improve the performance and longevity of Siemens Energy's\n steam and combustion turbine-generators. This critical role will involve\n balancing and optimizing equipment to ensure world-class operations.

  • Your expertise in steam turbine\n commissioning will be crucial. You will be responsible for commissioning,\n fixing, valve stroking, timing, and providing periodic support for new\n unit installations, ensuring the seamless operation of our steam\n turbine-generators.

  • You will maintain a safety-first approach,\n ensuring safe working conditions at all times. Your role will involve\n traveling to customer sites across the US and internationally, with up to\n 80% travel required. You will lead teams of mechanics and collaborate with\n different levels of customer organizations.

  • Crafting detailed reports will require\n strong communication abilities. You will work both independently and\n within a team, leading initiatives and striving for continuous process\n improvements.

What You Bring

    \n
  • A completed Bachelor’s Degree in\n Engineering/Engineering Technology, or a high school diploma/GED with\n equivalent experience. Ideally, 5 years of proven experience in a relevant\n field.
  • \n
  • Advanced field experience in the Power\n Generation or Oil and Gas Industries. Expertise in one or more of the\n following areas:
  • \n
  • Commissioning of turbine-generator\n auxiliary systems
  • \n

1. Combustion\nDynamics Tuning

2. Metrology\nand Alignment

    \n
  • Modal and Vibration Analysis
  • \n

1. Turbine-Generator\nStartup and Operations (T3000 knowledge is a plus)

1. Strong analytical skills,\nattention to detail, and organizational abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft\nOffice Suite, particularly Excel and Word.

2. Experience in reading and\ninterpreting technical drawings, schematics, and written\ninstructions/procedures.
