Job Title: Wellness Coach (Part-Time to Full-Time)

Location: 100% Remote (U.S. Only)
Clearance Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen
Openings: 5 Positions
Contract Duration: Contract-to-hire potential (Master’s degree holders only)
Pay Rate: $31.07 – $41.42/hour (W2)
Potential FTE Salary (if converted): $50,200 – $91,200
Hours: Start with 20 hrs/week (part-time) → Increase to 40 hrs/week (full-time) as demand grows
Assessment Required: Must complete the Glider Wellness Coach Assessment

Job Summary:

We are seeking Wellness Coaches to join a remote health and wellness program team. In this role, you will engage members via phone, assess biometric screening results, and support lifestyle changes through scheduled coaching sessions. Your work will empower individuals to meet personal health goals while navigating the broader healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct wellness coaching sessions via phone, using motivational interviewing and behavior change strategies
• Deliver personalized support in areas like tobacco cessation, stress, sleep, physical activity, weight management, and nutrition
• Interpret biometric screening data and develop individual wellness goals and care plans
• Connect members to internal/external resources and support behavior change
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with process and regulatory standards
• Work collaboratively with peers and healthcare teams to address member needs holistically
• Attend team meetings and contribute to a positive, adaptable team environment

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field (e.g., Public Health, Nutrition, Health Promotion, Exercise Science)
• 2+ years’ experience in wellness or health services roles
• Telephonic coaching experience
• Working knowledge of health education practices and Transtheoretical Model of Change
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and related applications

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):

• Master’s degree in a health-related field
• Certified Tobacco Cessation Specialist (CTTS)
• Registered Dietitian (RD)
• Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)
• Exercise Physiology certification
• National Diabetes Prevention Program Lifestyle Coach
• Certified Health and Wellness Coach (CHWC)
