Position Title: Assistant Director of Economic Mobility

Reports to: Director of Economic Mobility

Classification: Exempt

Category: Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Economic Mobility , the Assistant Director of Economic Mobility supports the implementation and oversight of programs aimed at promoting financial stability and economic self-sufficiency for individuals and families. This role includes supervising program staff, ensuring compliance with funding and program guidelines, coordinating community partnerships, and supporting strategic initiatives that enhance service delivery. The Assistant Director plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the Economic Mobility department and works collaboratively to ensure program effectiveness and client success.

Job Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Administration, or a related field.
    • Minimum of two years of experience in case management, program coordination, or social services.
    • Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, staff, and community partners.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience using client management software.
    • Ability to assess client needs, develop action plans, and ensure follow-through.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in service delivery.
    • Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Oversight & Case Management Support:

  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of economic mobility programs.
  • Provide direct supervision and support to program staff, ensuring compliance with policies and best practices.
  • Conduct case consultations and assist staff with problem-solving to enhance client outcomes.
  • Monitor program effectiveness through data collection, feedback, and reporting.

Client Services & Community Engagement:

  • Ensure clients receive high-quality case management and resource navigation services.
  • Assist with intake, assessment, and eligibility determination for financial assistance programs.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with local organizations, employers, and service providers.
  • Represent Ada Jenkins Center in community meetings, coalitions, and events related to economic mobility.

Administrative & Reporting Duties:

  • Maintain accurate and complete client records, reports, and case notes in compliance with funding requirements.
  • Support grant reporting and assist with identifying funding opportunities in collaboration with the Development team.
  • Assist in budget oversight and financial planning for economic mobility programs.
  • Ensure data-driven decision-making by analyzing trends and program performance metrics.
