Position Overview

· Position Title: Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk I

· Location: Springfield, TN (On-Site, Monday–Friday)

· Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift (7:30 AM – 4:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

· Processing high-volume vendor invoices for accuracy and timeliness

· Matching purchase orders and invoices (2-way match)

· Entering invoices into the accounting system and coding to appropriate GL accounts

· Preparing weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, or wires)

· Reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies

· Assisting with month-end closing tasks related to payables

· Maintaining vendor files and ensuring W-9s and payment terms are up-to-date

· Communicating with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice issues

· Supporting audits by organizing AP records when needed

What We’re Looking For

· Any experience in Accounts Payable or related clerical accounting role

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

· Quick learner with using accounting software (Foundation)

· Reliable transportation to our Springfield office (M–F, no hybrid/remote)

· Friendly, professional communication skills

Bonus Qualifications (Not Required, but Helpful)

· Experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or construction environment

· Familiarity with ERP systems or Excel-based reporting

· Associate’s degree or coursework in accounting or business
