Volunteer Requirements - Time Commitment: Minimum of 3 hours per week for at least 2 weeks, with potential extension up to 2 months.
- Availability & Scheduling: Must be available on weekdays from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
- Location: Various Department of Education (DOE) school sites and YMCA locations.
- Transportation: Volunteers must have or arrange for their own transportation to assigned locations.
Responsibilities & Duties - Attend a required training session.
- Receive A+ Afterschool registration packets from families at various DOE schools and YMCA locations.
- Review packets for completeness, legibility, and accuracy based on provided checklist.
- Ensure all required information is included before accepting the packet.
- Date, timestamp, and initial each registration packet upon receipt.
- Clearly communicate to families that their submission is accepted; registration will be reviewed in the order received and expected next steps.
- Uploading of accepted registrations to the Central repository for processing using formatted naming conventions.
Impact of the Role - This position plays a vital role in facilitating the State-subsidized A+ Afterschool Program for the 2025-2026 school year by ensuring the accurate and timely collection of registration packets.
Qualifications - No prior experience required; training will be provided.
- Must be personable, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong communication skills are a plus.
